opinions wanted on year of my new / old Zuma
I dont have the title and the serial numbers on the downtube are good up untill the last 2 which are worn (and rusted) from the tiewrap that holds the electric harness. I think it is a 1999 by the research i have done so far. I need to buy parts so any input would be great. Thanks John Attachment:

My best bet is a '98 or a '99 but the parts to get them are probably the same for the two years. Since I can't compare the photes because yours are low res. Maybe you could compare the two and see if they are the same. Here's a '98 Zuma. Nice and shiny looking too!

Then this is the 1999 Zuma. Notice the rims and the front shocks are different.

I still say the answer is in the VIN. Whether you get the last few digits right or not. If you can read the 10th digit you can get the year.
Vehicle Identification Number "Model Year" Code 10th Position Chart 1980=A 1981=B 1982=C 1983=D 1984=E 1985=F 1986=G 1987=H 1988=J 1989=K 1990=L 1991=M 1992=N 1993=P 1994=R 1995=S 1996=T 1997=V 1998=W 1999=X 2000=Y 2001=1 2002=2 2003=3 2004=4 2005=5 2006=6 2007=7 2008=8 2009=9 2010=A 2011=B 2012=C 2013=D

Re: opinions wanted on year of my new / old Zuma
Will any front shocks fit a 1999? My 1999 shocks have an issue, one is lower than the other and I want to buy a set of 2004s but not sure if they are the right diameter or will fit. Supposedly 1999 are 30mm? not sure.
