Still breaking mine in, but speedo said 47mph this morning and still felt like it had power for more. I'm 6' and 260lbs, so no featherweight here. I had it no more than half throttle. Wish I could hurry up and get some moles on it so I could get on it a bit...........only 34.5 miles on the odometer so far.

Might be a late post, but my 2009 YW100 100cc2 stroke ( Zuma to anyone stateside) has read 100kph with a tail wind and downhill. Typical flat road it will creep up to 90+ but 80kph (47mph) is normal cruising speed.

Put a GPS on the dash and the top speed doesn't look so impressive  The most optimistic speedo I have ever had.

The current model Zuma selling in New Zealand has the 50cc 3v 4t motor. Went on a childrens charity scooter ride in the company of a 50cc Zuma. It went damn well.

Since my Zuma 50F has less than 600 mi, I'm still in "break-in" mode. I have varied the speed and was able to get up to 38-40 mph. I didn't want to linger to long with the throttle opened up, but I just had to see if I was gonna get run over by a cager or what. Anyway, hurry up 600 mi....

Hi all
new guy here
2015 Zuma 50F bare bones stock. I'm a light weight at 125 LB. Best I can get is 42 MPH
with only 3/4 throttle. Pretty sure this thing has a computer with a speed limiter programmed
in it. I can get it going 42 on a flat and then hit the down side of a hill with no speed increase.
My 99 Ford diesel had a speed limiter in it's computer limiting it to 92 mph. A performance
chip fixed that as well as adding 100 hp :)
Do they make chips for the scooters?

Post Re: Zuma Stock Speed...What is everyone getting?
I ride a 2014 YW50F. I'm 5'6" and about 130lbs. When I first got the bike from the dealership (stealership) it was getting about max 36mph (58kph). I was a little rough during the break-in period, but regular about things like oil changes and such. When I did a full maintenance (filters, fluids, plug and all) around 5k it opened up a bit to 38 (61) average. I've since installed a malossi variator and I'm getting 41-42 (67). I'm pretty sure this is as good as I'm going to get until I go to a BBK or just break down, get my endorsement, and buy a bigger bike.

p.s. My speedo is about 3 mph or so high depending on the ambient temp., so I've used a GPS and local radar to get my averages: I've got about a mile of flat with radars at either end.

p.p.s. To the guy above ^^^... Malossi does make a chip controller. It's supposed to override the built-in ECU limiter. They're like $200 so I imagine it's only worth while if you're going to do a BBK or some crazy race build, but it may be worth giving a shot.
