Post Re: Samurai 155cc kit
I am getting an alarming amount of orders for injectors only.
Some are from the original RRGS kit which is fine and dandy.
But alot are from people who bought the ebay kit or from JW....

:eng101:

I have nothing against JW but the kit thats $100 is worth about $10, cast piston and a manufacturer with a terrible rep in taiwan for using sub-par materials.
Not only that but it doesnt work by itself, you just have a big bore kit, install it and your bike will cut out and not run right..... so you being sold something that doesnt really work with your bike!.
To correct it you need to buy an injector for $100 so now that $100 is $200... ok still cheaper than that other kit right?.
Well no, wheres the cam?????
Without the cam you are not making full use of the increase in displacment, the larger piston (that piston is heavier than mine) causes the bike to rev slower and lower, the cam raises the rpms to where it makes peak power.
Hell it makes more power everywhere compared to the stock cam.
The cam is another $80.

So $100 for the cheap 155 kit, $100 for the injector to make it run right (you guys should be PISSED about being mis-sold something, as thats what they are doing) and $80 for the cam....... $280 so far and thats not including postage costs.

So in all fairness you are saving a whole $20, though in reality you are buying a big bore kit i would use as a paper weight.
There is no comparison between my 155 kit and anyone elses, this is the best one you can buy.... especially for the price!.

$300 is a BARGAIN for such a lovely, powerful, strong piece of equipment

Only one problem ... (you knew that this was coming??) ... I can't buy what I can't see !! !! ...
I'd still like you do find the time for your catalog/website !! !! ...

gret kit. way better quality than the stock one IMO.

i love the power and speed increase. makes the scooter way more fun. I need to upgrade variator etc from stock. mine is completely stock besides the 155cc upgrade. my average speed before with hills wind etc. was 85kmh. now with the 155cc kit i can do 95-100kmh no problem with wind and hills etc.

the only downside is fuel economy. i was getting 85-91 mpg with 125cc. Ive been really gental to it with 155cc and not im only getting 65-70mpg. I can live with that. but with a 6 liter fuel tank im only getting about 130-140 kms to a tank. I can live with that in the city. But, I plan to take some long distance trips on my scooter and 140kms is shitty fuel range. so i think my next upgrade after variator will be a larger fuel tank, i'll eve sacrafice helmet storage for it.... and if i can't find a tank thats atleast 15 liters looks like im trading in for a ninja 250R :(

Samurai Scoot Shop is a "catalog-type" business and your products may take weeks-months to get shipped from Taiwan. On occasion the parts will come earlier then that.

When you order something from the catalog, SBL orders it from his suppliers and we cross our fingers that the process goes smoothly.

THERE IS ZERO GUARANTEE that he will get his order fulfilled in a timely manner or at all; which boils down to you not getting your parts, and your money should be refunded.

Don't come on here and complain about your order if you have read this post. You have been formally informed of the business practices of Samurai Scoot.

That being said, many of the members here have ordered from Samurai Scoot and recieved the orders in Excellent condition, with excellent service, and excellent communication. That doesn't happen all the time because he runs a catalog-type business.
