Okay. Now I need to get 2 extra jobs to pay for all my desired mods.

I think bright yellow wheels would be badass on that setup. I'm drooling.

Cheers,
Art

SBL, one quick question. Im looking at those Frando radial rear levers, and wondering 3 things.

1. Will i need to buy a different handlebar to mount these?
2. Do they come in Front as well (matching sets are sexier)
3. I noticed the way it would be mounted, the gibblets would be mounted towards me, in an area where space is non existant for getting on and off the scoot (knees n such). How far would it stick in towards my body if it did mount? The picture works for the most part, but im having to gauge the size based on the guestimate on the handle size. Also where are the mounting brackets located? i dont see them.

Other than that, this is a splendid idea. Once my rear drum is gone, instead of replacing the drum I would like to do this mod. Also buy 2x of the same type 9 spoke rims. I just hope that the tires are the same type/model etc, so i dont have to special order them.

Oh yeah, why does the pic of the RPM 9 spoke have 10 spokes??? just wonderin

1) NO
2) YES
3) im lost on this one, giblets??? The levers fit just like stock and dont stick out much more, the resevior is mounted on top of them and doesnt rub towards you.
Wheels are identical in size, width etc.
They are indeed 10 spoke, 9 spoke is the name as they are the 12'' version of the 9 spokes..... odd i know.

only 125 sorry :(

Ok so what happened to my disc conversion then????

Well i had to get the bike together for the 0-50 race a month ago, this meant i couldnt have my swingarm and wheel modded.
Then after the race i got just wanted to ride the thing as much as possible, so its been in my hands ever since, thus i couldnt get the conversion done.
But now i have a 3rd scooter which i can use for the 7-11 runs while i get the disc conversion done :D

So yes it can still be done, it will look OEM and will make the bike feel so much more stable when slowing down!.

Dan,

The conversation died, imo, because we want pictures. Also. If we use the Yamaha wheel the the ugly drum casting is still there. Not very sexy. Does the 9 spoke have the drum casting?

As soon as I get financially healthy I'll be able to help you get that way too. It is a vicious cycle. I'm looking for a better job right now. Last year I lost a job and had to take a $20k pay cut. I'm very happy to have any job as so many here do not.

We are eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches this week because I had to replace my winter riding gloves and liners. My scoots are my only transportation and that is a good thing.

Waiting patiently for pictures and final configuration. :-)

Cheers,

Art

Post Re: Rear disc conversion now possible! - preorders on here
I want to start a preorder as it makes sense to get a bunch of swingarms done at once to save time, here are the costs:

BWS-X swingarm: $90
Rear wheel RPM 9 spoke: $120 (i can paint any colour for $10 extra)
Frando mini radial caliper: $130 (blue, red, gold, black)
220mm wavy disc: $60
Frando radial rear lever: $150 (bunch of colours!)
Stainless hose: $40

TOTAL: $590

The drum part of the wheel will remain, its needed to hide the gearing part.
Rear rim is almost .5kgs lighter, the added weight of the above would probably still bring it under what it was stock

Rant on

This is not the first thread that mentioned a product, promised pics, then went on for pages and pages with no pics and just 'pics soon'...........
Its getting a bit annoying to say the least

Theres either a part or theres not a part, if you have a prototype just show it to people so they know there is at least some evidence of it existing!.

Ok rant over :D

:iiam:

Samurai Scoot Shop is a "catalog-type" business and your products may take weeks-months to get shipped from Taiwan. On occasion the parts will come earlier then that.

When you order something from the catalog, SBL orders it from his suppliers and we cross our fingers that the process goes smoothly.

THERE IS ZERO GUARANTEE that he will get his order fulfilled in a timely manner or at all; which boils down to you not getting your parts, and your money should be refunded.

Don't come on here and complain about your order if you have read this post. You have been formally informed of the business practices of Samurai Scoot.

That being said, many of the members here have ordered from Samurai Scoot and recieved the orders in Excellent condition, with excellent service, and excellent communication. That doesn't happen all the time because he runs a catalog-type business.

Hya ...

I THINK WE GET IT !!

Put your little cut.and.paste tools away !!
Every time I want to read something on the Forum ... there's this same
cut.and.paste from HyaZuma which I've stopped reading a long time ago.

Why not ...
just put this on the FRONT PAGE to the ZumaForums ?? !!
Make it REALLY BIG ...

SO THAT WE CAN'T MISS IT !!
