Post Kawasaki 2 Cycle oil
Anybody ever used Kawasaki 2t oil? It's at our big lots for $2 a quart, Thinking about stocking up, even if it does smell kinda bad.

Let me know :patriot:

Personally, I'd stick with a good quality full synthetic oil rather than a "low ash" type. Less smoke and (probably) better lubrication. And smell.

Think of it this way... would you put Lawn Boy oil in? Similar type and quality of oil.

Post Re: Kawasaki 2 Cycle oil
Ok I poured some of the oil into a water bottle.

It's nasty stuff, I may not even use it, or I may mix it with yamalube (no disaster side effects)

My main concern is the viscocity of it. Both oils are at room temperature. The second photo is 10 seconds after being swirled around (to run the oil up the side of the bottle)

Stuff smells pretty awful, but so does yamalube

From what I know the yamaha oil is semi synthetic. And the kawa oil is full mineral oil

They both have the same additives though, and both say they are suitable for injector use.

Post Re: Kawasaki 2 Cycle oil
Suitability for injector use is probably a viscosity thing. Too thin or thick will give weird pumping characteristics.

Claims it's suitable for injectors but idk. I can't say I full trust it.

Is it ok to mix it with yamalube? Like a 50/50 ratio?

Post Re: Kawasaki 2 Cycle oil
Mixing oil types should be avoided if possible, especially when the two oils are of different base (mineral vs. synthetic).

I would not trust Kawasaki 2t oil, they don't even make scoots, not to mention 2 Stroke scoots.
