My 50cc cylinder had seizure marks when I replaced it with a BB at 3000 miles.

But something must have been wrong.

How long a Zuma 50 will last depends ENTIRELY on how much time is spent at maximum RPMS.

If you spent all day...everyday at wide open throttle....in excess of 10,000 RPMS....i suspect that after 2 thousand miles......the compression would be too low to start.

On the ither hand...if you always rode slowly...and were dligent in maintanence.....then i would think it would do 20,000 miles before needing a top end rebuild.

We race Zumas down here...and i get 500 miles on an Athena ring.....200 on a spark plug......and 300 miles on a drive belt.

canyon is your zuma a everyday rider for you or just a toy to race and have fun on? 500 miles!!! i would hate to change my prebug piston that often just because to get to it requires taking everything apart. i hope this malossi cast iron kit is as reliable as everyone says it is

The race Zuma is only used for the Rally/Races. Some guys use their race Zumas for short transportation....but i don't like to wear out parts and spend money needlessly. I don't change the piston until it measures below specs....but i do change the piston ring iN my Athena kit every 300 miles because ALL of those miles were at WOT.
