Post Stereo/Speaker Ideas?
Does anyone have any good ideas on how to listen to music while riding? Has anyone put a stereo in their zuma? What about subs in the seat?

What kind of helmet to you have ?? You can put Bluetooth on your helmet ... or just earbuds

They do make handlebar speaker for bikes if you WANT PEOPLE TO SEE THEM !!

I've often wondered WHAT WRONG with guys who just have to LIGHT UP the neighborhood with a sound system !!

Is that you ??

DON'T DO THAT !! Listen to talk.radio on your commute (that's what I do) !!

There's not a lot of spare power anyway, at least on the YW50 (don't know your ride). Nowhere near enough to power something like an amp without adding batteries that would not work off the bike's charging system.

Ya really got to respect this one, Jakesubway. Nick's like our pro music go to guy

I would have figured if anyone just had to have music.a.la.scoot ... it would be him

but, you do what you think

I seriously can't hear anything but the sweet sounds of my ride, anyway

I have a little bicycle pouch in the middle of my handlebars that fits a bluetooth speaker perfectly (logitech mini boombox) which is small and loud enough to hear vaguely at full throttle (stock exhaust). works well for me and when i park it, i can just toss the speaker under the seat. battery life is good, size is small and it actually gets decently loud

some of those large size blue tooth speakers are pretty loud like this one http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=dr+dre+beats+pill+speaker&tag=googhydr-20&index=electronics&hvadid=31768690116&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16284296418944694894&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_7qqadq01ty_b
they have there own power source

but I would rather use my chatterbox
music right in my ears, and can use the phone at the same time along with talking to others at the same time with the walkie talkie feature it has

Let me count the ways:

- Dangerous as hell - and not just to you, but to people other people love.

- Low-class and crude. Why should anyone else be forced to listen to your f ucking music?

- An insult to the artform. We musicians work hard to produce music for people to listen to, not for blasting over the noise of a fucking scooter engine.

- A blatant sign that you're an a sshole.

I'll agree with Nick about the speakers (however, WITHOUT his strong personal adds).

Just how loud do you think that they'd have to be to even hear them ?? !!

I feel like an arsehole with my pipe as loud as it is, I can't imagine trying to hear music over it :q:

Zumike, no question, what's happened to the music industry and what's taken over it - "music for people who hate music," to quote Bobby Neuwirth - is sad.

But there's also a lot of great music being made.
