Post Only need a couple!
I have a 2005 Zuma and I am looking to get a couple more mph out of her. Right now she is stock and I don’t really want to go with a bbk or sacrifice reliability either. I had one in the past that I put an Athena 70cc, technigas exhaust, new carb (19mm I think), Malossi over range kit, up gears, etc. and it was fun but I really just want to be able to hit about 43mph. Right now I hit about 40 if the wind is calm and no hills but slow down to about 36 on one hill that I frequent where the speed limit is 45.

I ordered a technigas silent pro In late May from scootertronics but I have never received it. I keep being told to be patient! I was hoping the performance would increase with the silent exhaust with a minor jet change as well as a transmission tune. I was kinda wanting to keep it quiet but it’s not a requirement. Have y’all ever used the silent pro and seen a performance increase?

Anything else I can do to get a little bit more?

Or should I just buy a 125? I really do like the 2 stroke though.

Thanks in advance.

That pipe should get you close
I had similar top speed of 43 with just the malossi wild lion without even adjusting the transmission.
Had very good take off and mid range .
I did up jet to a 82 main and 46 vino et for the stock carb .
It did raise top rpms 500 to get those speeds to low 9s

The technigas next r is a little faster
45 mph mid 9s for rpms
The take off I had to adjust to a yellow contra and yellow springs to get in the poweband so takeoff did not suck .
Mid range was similar to the Wild lion and top end was higher little slower on take off.
Same carb settings as above .
Both pipes way better than stock once dialed in

Well if I ever get the exhaust I will see what it can do. Why did you have to upset with a vino jet?

Thanks for the reply.

Upjetted to the vino jet since I had to set way rich on the stock jet .
some people depending on what elevation and weather dont need to upjet the main or pilot .

Scootertronics has been problematic for others on here if you could cancel your order through your credit card company you could have the same pipe or a better pipe from scootertuning.ca .

Yeah, I filed a claim a few minutes ago so we will se how it goes. I understand about the lean or rich after a pipe but was just curious why it was a vino specific jet. Which semi quiet pipe do you recommend?

The malossi wild lion bolted right up here is my build thread

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=28541

The power bands overlapped nicely with the stock motor so changing springs and rollers in the transmission is not a priority.

As far as the vino pilot it is the same stock carb just a larger pilot jet

i have 2 vinos so i took out the vino pilot and put it in the zuma and I was able to dial the carb in to a safer area at idle .
84 main part #14T-14343-42-00 82 main part #14T-14343-41-00 46 vino pilot 5BM-14353-23-00 -

I am at about 300 feet elevation and run my scoots from 40 degrees to 100 degrees so i tend to be too rich in the summer and perfect fall and spring with the 82 main and 46 pilot .
The 84 was overkill for me but for the 5 bucks it was good insurance .

Ah, I see! I am at sea level and temps here for riding is about the same as you. I would rather be a little rich than too lean. I seized a Derbi GP1 several years ago by running a little to lean. I may end up putting a temp sensor just to be sure if I start playing with jetting.
