Post BBK spark, Fuel, Compression will not start Sorry for asking
I have confirmed spark, and the plug gets wet. I removed the cylinder head and cranked to see fuel getting in. I performed a compression test and got around 88 PSI which I believe is on the lower end of what you want. The scooter ran fine before I swapped cranks. I resealed the cases, reinstalled everything and here I am. I have a new pipe and carb to put on but I returned everything the way it was to ensure it would start under normal circumstances and despite everything I have tried over the past week I have been unable to get it to start. If you guys could provide any insight I would appreciate it. I have taken pictures along the way for a cool little build thread. Ill post it once its all back together.

That is extremely low cr for a 70 kit, it should be around 120 psi, I would check the squish to make sure it's at least close to specs. Did you do a leak down test? Did you install the piston in the correct orientation, arrow towards exhaust port? Also, did you touch the stator or adjust the timing any? Another issue could be the carburetor. Check all jets for any clogs, float height, needle position or for any obstructions in the air box as well. I would also make sure if your using the correct spark plug and plug gap, as this could be an issue as well. Oh and what sealant did you use for the cases? I only use three bond or yamabond 4, no RTV. I also apply lithium soap base grease to the crank seals, as the factory service manual calls for it.

The only thing I did that you asked was point the piston the right direction. Looks like I have some troubleshooting to do. If youre ever in town im buying you a burger for all your help lol. I will check back when I attempt some of these.

After procrastinating for sometime, I checked my compression for the heck of it and came up with a measly 82 psi. I saw a small score in the bore so I decided to replace my Athena Sporting kit with an Evolution kit. It happened to be on sale and it will compliment my C16 pipe better than the Sporting could. I will update when it comes in the mail two days from now. Fingers crossed.

New Athena Racing top end installed with no luck, I just ordered Yamabond 4 to properly seal the cases. I will also apply some white lithium to the bearings.
