Post 70cc + 19mm carb + unifilter = UNGODLY LOUD!!!
I just finished up my 70cc install and have a question about the loudness. I know with an open filter and RS pipe it would be loud, but its increadibly loud. My girlfriend can hear me pulling into the neighborhood three streets away. Is something wrong or is it just loud??

I've always heard (no pun intended) that the RS was loud but have no experience with them.

Right, it's loud. I ran it as a kinda stage 1 just to see what the gains would be like and it sounded like a mild dirtbike, but now that the whole spiel is on it sounds like a beefed up chainsaw. I get looks from everyone when I pass. It also doesn't help that all the panels are gone for painting, so it looks like I am riding a homemade scoot or that I stole it...lulz

haha, now you know why I went from a stage 1 setup (with RS pipe) to a 70 cc cylinder with stock pipe and airbox.

im getting somewhere between 50-60 which I know doesn't help much. later this week i'm going to GPS and make a video of it running. Ill post a link when I do it. I read that the open filter is what is making it so loud not so much the rs pipe

LOL, thats what my build was. And its VERY loud. The carb makes alot of the noise, and some people run the intake into the under seat compartment.

I put the pipe on the stock cylinder at first, and it wasn't bad. After the 70cc kit and the carb go on, its like a big chainsaw.

acceleration should be phenomenal though...

What mainjet are you running. I ended up with a 105. Also, do you still have the stock belt? Even with an aftermarket variator, clutch and torque driver springs, the belt broke in half at about 100 miles after the build. If you want a hint to keep you from getting stranded. Put in only about 4 of the transmission bolts, carry a hex wrench to take those out, and carry a spare belt.

Keep us informed on how you progress.

The main jet is the 95 that came with it. I need to get some more jets, but I've been neglecting it with work and the rain. It's still got the stock belt, until i can grind down the case for the over-range. How do you run the intake under the seat? That sounds like it might help with the sound alot. The only thing though, does that make it perform less? I only have a couple of bolts holding the case together and I like to carry my electric impact wrench. Also I have to use starting fluid if I leave it sit for like 2 or 3 days and then try to start it, any ideas of whats wrong?
