Post 265mm bitubo rear shock
just got a bitubo shock from the scootershop.com for my 02 vino. installed the other day feels good, well alot better than the worn out and blown oem shock. im still fiddling with the spring preload to find that "G" spot. the shock feels a lot taller too, my scoot is actually leaning with the center stand, with one of the pegs of the ground. kinda iffy but its pretty stable

I have been looking at
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-Z ... 249wt_1199

Does yours look similar- You probably get what you pay for - unless you deal with provo- then you wait for moped hospital to ship them parts. For $65 I might try it if it won't compromise safety.

the 250mm will fit great. It will feel weird at first because the rear of scoot will sit higher than stock but you'll get used to it quick. You'll feel more confident going into corners. You might need to install/weld something to the bottom of the center stand, i just lean the scooter on its side, its not as sturdy but it will stay standing. The only problem i had was the shock is a bit too long, i had to push down on the transmission case to install the bottom of the shock. And the air box rubs on the frame, but you shouldn't have that problem .
