I don't know if it's available but it might be good to "down gear" for a better take-off and acceleration speed. Has anyone ever done this before? Can you shed some light on this?

I'm thinking you'll sacrifice top speed, but you will enable a 50cc zuma to launch faster and accelerate better than a stockie.

well my take off is like a rocket, the front wheel wants to come off the ground, my acceleration kicks butt up to 45mph. And im topping out around 60+mph and thats around 11k rpm's + my tach only reads upto 9999rpm. What i really want is to be able to top out but not rev the motor so high.

Your going to need a bigger engine for that. I'd say just leave it as it is and get some nice synthetic oil in there. You'll mess it up with the upgears.

Time for something bigger. I'll sell you my gy6'd zume if you want something to play with. Next one I do will be with a Burgman setup in it.

But seriously, instead of gearing, try a larger rear tire if there is room in the case to accomodate it.

gy6 no thanks. I'm liking the 2strokes right now. Maybe i should swap a GA100cc motor to my vino. I'll call it GRAND VINO

They already make one of those. They call it a Vino 125.

On selling my GY6'd setup, I was being fascious.

Vino 125 is a 4 stroke. GA100 is a grand axis 100 2 stroke.

Or you can drop a 45mm stroker crank in or even a 42mm mini stroke crank. If you go with the 42mm mini stroke, you can use the cylinder you have now and just add base gaskets to raise the cylinder up to match the stroke. If you drop the 45mm crank you will have to get a stroker bore made for the longer stroke cranks.

Yes, I am well aware that the 125 is a 4-stroke. How much longer do you think the EPA will allow 2-strokes to maintain that emission exemption?

My point is, as well as bakaracer's, is that if you want more power/speed then you'll have to drop for a larger displacement engine.

I was reading the history of Suzuki motorcycles a bit ago. During the heyday of the 50cc gp-type bikes, Suzuki used a 14-speed gearbox to make that little bike get to 100mph!
