Post FYI: Regarding nut size on my 2009 clutch assy
Mine measured to be a 39mm where as most people on here told me it was either a 41mm or a 38mm.
I have no idea why they decided to use a 39mm nut as no place locally had one for sale or rent.
I ended up ordering one on eBay but what a hassle it has turned out to be just to find the right socket.

I created this post to inform people that are told it's a 38 or 41 as now it could also be a 39.
Good Luck!!

As in my PM, the Yamaha one is definitely 41mm.

Someone must have replaced yours if it's off. Maybe it's an imperial one that's close? I've read posts from people using an imperial socket that's very close.

After reading your post, I measured the '09 clutch nut I ordered from Boats.net, and it's 39mm. The clutch nut on my '03 is 41mm.

I ordered a 39mm on eBay for a whopping $12/shipped.

sorry nic hate to tell you i just measured 3 oem yamaha 107mm clutches i have in my garage and they measured 1.529 in to 1.535 in so that is 39mm

the 2 2 shoe yamaha clutchs that i have are 1.610 1.611 so that would be 41mm

the 107 mm clone clutchs that i have measure 1.491 and 1.496 so that would be 1.5 in a or a tight 38mm

as for people saying its a 41mm maybe its another one of those things in the service manual where they didnt update it
if you read the service manual even in the 2008 to 2011 section they still talk about 105mm clutch

My bad. Sorry about that.

What I do know is that the '05 nut fits an '08 assembly.

But its handle is too big to fit inside my 3/4" impact wrench.

I bought a 41mm for my 2006 BW but it was too big so I returned it for a 38 but have yet to take the CVT cover off to check.

scooters and mods: I'm still a complete noob. I upgraded from a 2004 Zuma 50cc to a 2013 Zuma 125. There's a lot for me to learn.
Post Re: FYI: Regarding nut size on my 2009 clutch assy
Hello zumazuma

I saw this video on YouTube where they were working on a pre-bug-eye Zuma, and guess what size socket they used to unscrew the large clutch nut? They used a 1-1/2” (closer to a 40mm) socket on their torque wrench which would be a lot easier to purchase.

Called Zuma Springs and Rollers

What can I say; this Zuma stuff is all over the map! :)
