I pmed you if we are on a fuel delivery path
Check ,clean ,replace if needed ,fuel injector
They get gummed up from old gas or from sediment in fuel.
The service manual will be having you check fuel pump and throttle body after this

defaulty fuel injector wouldnt that throw an engine code? (fault code #39)

well looking at the troubleshooting section of the manual i do see that you can have no errors and still check the fuel injector for funtionality...

Post Re: changing spark plug
The week prior to breaking down. anytime i was at a red light idling, i noticed that the idle was so low that i coulidnt help to want to give it gas. i had what seemed to be a very weak idle. and quiet too. would this suggest that my throttle body failed and might need to be replaced or does it have more to do with the fuel injection. or just my luck, both!?!?

I would start with the fuel injector .
That is what it sounds like with your idle problem.

You Tube has a lot of tutorials once you get it off on how to clean.
If it is really ugly just replace it.
It will be just one thing that failed .
Lets rule out Fuel injector first .

When you get the injector unhooked from throttle body before cleaning
Turn the scooter over and verify the amount of fuel coming out or not coming out .
Then after cleaning check it again.
We would be looking for a noticable difference in the mist.
Search clogged fuel injectors on the forums the 125 guys have info that they have worked through on clogged injectors.

Post Re: changing spark plug
ok so when its unhooked fuel should come out of the injector (makes sense) and then after cleaning hopefully a significant increase. if it isnt clogged or broken could the smallest amount of fuel get the bike to turn over? i do have dry spark plug, does that indicate, what i should expect when i remove fuel injector?

Post Re: changing spark plug
It takes a very small spray of fuel to get it to turn over (100 miles to the gallon ).
The injectors just like a jet in carb are a weak link that needs cleaning from time to time in these little engines because the holes are so tiny to try to stretch to the 100 miles a gallon it doesn't take much to plug them.
If a clean injector is the fix you would have a wet spark plug if you turned it over with spark plug wire off.
If that is what your asking but I would not retrace that step I would just try to fire it up.

Post Re: changing spark plug
well its dry at the moment. once i check the injector to see if its clogged, would i be able to clean it or do most people have to replace it if its clogged?
and once it is cleaned up/ unclogged the spark plug should become wet again, correct?

i think you are just telling me in advance what i should expect for a clean injector=wet spark plug.

Thanks!

Post Re: changing spark plug
yes that is what i would expect the spark plug would have gas on it after this fix.
And if i am right this should give you the gas to fire up your scoot.

The injector can be cleaned up You tube has plenty of vids Look at a few it is not that complex .
I would try that first save the 160 bucks on replacing it.

I am tracing the fuel path from the pump up
You hear the fuel pump engage so it is trying to move fuel .
If the injector is not the fix we can go up the fuel path and look at Throttle body or go back and make sure the pump is still pushing fuel.

Post Re: changing spark plug
thanks man! all i want for christmas is my scoot back running! jk. i looked at a few vids, i think im gonig to buy sea foam and use that and spray it into the injector and clean it up. you would suggest disconnecting the injector but testing it before i remove to see how much is coming out before i clean it up? and use the seaform after i disconnect the fuel hose and injector and spray the cleaner inside and out and see if i can get moee gas output. correct me if im wrong? thanks!

Post Re: changing spark plug
You are correct .
sea foam is a good choice
You don't have to do the pre and post test of injector flow .
It would just confirm if you have increased flow that that was the problem .

You could just skip the tests clean the injector and hook it back up and just fire it up
