Post Slow take off please help
I have either a 07/07 Zuma 50 used as a pit bike. Majority of the time we have 2 people riding on it at the same time. It gets ridden 1 weekend a month only at the races. This has been a LONG ongoing issue. It takes off slow, sometimes if feels like it’s bogging.

So far I have cleaned the carb multiple times, cleaned the jets, cleaned air filter, replaced fuel filter and replaced the belt with a Yamaha belt. I noticed a lot of belt dust before replacing.

After 20’ - 30’ feet it usually picks up speed

Any help would be appreciated. Almost to the point of taking it to the dealer.

Thanks!!!

Could it be the clutch spring is worn out?

You might be trying to start in second gear so to speak
Does the transmission shift all the way down to low gear ?
Leave the transmission cover off is the belt at rear pulley all the way at the top ?
Is the belt at the lowest on the front pulley ?
Did the rear sheeve open like it always did or has it got really easy to pull open when you put on the belt ?

Would have to be the clutch springs, plural. Personally, I don't like the statistics involved in speculating on the possibility that all the clutch springs are so worn out that the clutch is flying open at 37 rpm.
