Post Missing Vacuum Valve
Hello,
I bought a Dellorto PHBG DS 19mm carburetor awhile ago and the only connection I see on it is the oil line and the fuel line even though it was advertise as having both an oil and vacuum connectors. I`ve been searching the forum for any posts with same issue as I but haven`t had any success. Tried googling it but same thing. I`ve seen the racing carbs from dellorto and I can see the vacuum line that on the pics but mine doesn`t have that vacuum banjo that is near where the carb opening that connects to the intake of the engine. I do see a couple of open trumpets (I think that's what they are called) facing downwards or vents but otherwise no vacuum banjo.
I`ve replace both the atomizer and matching bushing for the 2 stroke type which I believe are the AU. Anyways, not sure if I`m just not seeing it or my carb is missing it.
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Has anybody encounter this issue? Do I just install the carb minus vacuum line? I'm assuming that the carb will generate the vacuum to suck fuel into the bowl.
Appreciate any input. I'm left scratching my head.

The carb will not open the fuel shut off (that is what the vacuum line is for) also is there a port for the oil injector
To me it sounds like you have a 4 stroke carb ant the line you think is for oil is the vacuum port
Without pics I can't tell you anything

I see the port for the oil line. it's that small brass connector right in the middle by the bigger brass connector for the fuel line. Those are the only 2 connection that on this carb not including the 2 small air vents that turns downwards I'm so piss off both Dellorto and Scooter tuning for selling the 19mm PHBG DS carb under the Zuma/ Bws 2 stroke heading when in fact I've had to spend more money to buy the AU atomizer and the AU fuel noozle just to make it into a 2 stroke carb. And on top of that I bought that model of carb since it stated that the PHBG DS came with both an oil and vacuum lines.

Thank you jmkjr72 for helping. Unfortunately I don't know how to post pictures.

Does that mean I'll have to buy an intake manifold that has both the oil line and vacuum line so I can use this carb or is there some way to rig up a vacuum line? I would think that I wasn't the only one who ended up with this issue.

You just have to make sure the file is small enough normal make it a Facebook post then resave the image

I don't even see that carb listed on scooter tuneings website
On treat land they make no mention of oil port or vacuum port on that carb
When you read the description on treatland this is a carb mentioned for older mopeds that you premix and have manual shut offs

yes, that black thing is the oil connection. it is just cover in this black rubber thing to protect it. From what I found out looking around the internet those "trumpets" are air vents and aren't meant as vacuum connector. Apparently you're not supposed plug them because it vents the float bowl and equalizes the air pressure in the float.

I know that they sell a intake manifold that have both an oil connector and also a vacuum connector. http://scootertuning.ca/en/intakes/4008 ... -mkii.html
I was just hoping maybe anyone knew a work around without having to spend more money.
