Post big bore id
Kit was in when i bought it. Would like to put rings in . At this point all i know is it is a iron cylinder. I will pull the pipe and see how many rings it has. Is there usually any numbers or any id marking on the head or cylinder.

It will be a crap shoot is there is a brand on the cyl or head

pulled it apart. polini kit. I found a piston and rings. Will stock zuma head gasket and base gasket work. Or is there stuff just for the 70 cc kit.

The gaskets are diffrent. They are metal gaskets you can reuse them

The head gasket is junk. There was a mouse house in the motor. packed between the plastic and cylinder. I am sure that is what caused this chain of events. Who stocks the metal gaskets ?

Check your squish without the head gasket your looking for right are on .9mm if your not much less then that without it just use permitex copper there were many that never had head gaskets in the past

squish is at 1.0 mm with no base gasket and no head gasket. The head does have a o-ring.

You will have to find a polini dealer that has the oring

The o -ring is good. I am just above 0.9 with no base or head gasket. What do you think about yamabond on the base and just the o-ring on the head

That's what I have done unless I need a gasket to get my port timings where I want them. The only times I have needed to do That was when I did stroker kits

Got my new hoca piston today. They must of fixed the problem. With the green base gasket and a metal head gasket it came out right at 0.9 mm. Thanks for the help. When i put both pistons on a pin side by side i could see it was a little taller.

So you are going to put a hoca pistion in a polini bore.
You can't put a metal head gasket in if it runs an Oring
That fact that the squish changed that much tells me Tha pistion has changed the port timings basicly the same as changing your cam in a car

Yes it is back together. I bought it in 08 and it has run with a metal head gasket. squish went from 1.7 mm to 0.9 so yes i am sure something changed. It is just a pit bike for the race track. I will let you know how it runs.

You were correct. The hoca piston in the polini bore was a bad idea. Top speed of 43 at 8500 rpm with 5.5 rollers. Put the polini piston back in with new rings. 51 mph at 10.400 rpm. Ended up with 7 gram rollers to get the rpm down.
