Post Installing Aerox wheels on a Zuma 50
Well it seems like theres be some inquiry on Aerox wheels lately so I though I would make a thread to let people know what you need to do to make them fit and answer any questions. Ok so first the wheels you need are from an Aerox 100 rear and the front can be from a 50 or 100 as they are the same. The rear is a direct fit.No modds needed,no shock riser,no spacers nothing.Tire clearance with a 13/60/140 tire is about 3/4'' from the case.Plenty of room trust me.So the front wheel does require some work.If your going to use the zuma wheel spacer like I did your going to have to machine it down a little.Next the brake rotor still has a three bolt pattern but it spaced further out{bigger radius}.So you need to have a rotor from an Aerox.I would highly recommend getting Aerox forks legs too.If you dont you will have to oval the holes in the fork for the caliper. The reason is the Aerox rotor is ever so bigger.Used Aerox legs usually arent too expensive.I opted the a stage 6 R/T fork legs{about $450 to $500} and a stage 6 280mm rotor{$200 to $230}.Used stock legs are around{50 to 100 euros}The stock zuma caliper will work.Mine in the pic is a Bgm caliper from scootercenter{$120}.Tires.......you can run 130 or 140 rear tire. For the front some run a 13/70/120 and some a 13/60/130.The 13/70/120s profile will give quicker turning and a larger high lean contact patch. Its just harder to find this size in the U.S. than the 13/60/130.I think thats about it.Post if you have questions.I will try to answer the best I can.Heres some pics.

.....oh and its more rim than tire. They really arent that much bigger than the overall size of the stock zuma wheels and tires. It will slighty act as a up gear but not much. There really not bigger overall. The bigger rim will give more gyroscopic force. Its harder to flick into a corner but more stable in the corner....And for canyondancer I think the older Aeroxs have a 12'' wheel and they might be steel.I dont know the exact years.Maybe Overrev could tell you.

Very nice...and i like that front brake setup too. Can you get two pot calipers for a Zuma or just single?

I meant to ask... speedo implications? not so much the change in accuracy, rather the connections etc?

Im not running a speedo. The speedo hub I have is from a zuma.If you want to use the speedo I would recommend getting the hub from a aerox. If you get the wheels from someone really nice they would just throw that in with the wheels.Just make sure you buy them from someone really nice.Ha ha.

That scooterwreckers site has 2 aerox 100's available for parting RIGHT NOW!!! What up Jabba? Is shipping from AU to US tremendously priced for low grade freight? Scooterwreckers only ships to AU. We need you bro. I wonder if they ship to New Zealand? I got peeps there.
