Post Re: Service manuals
Thanks Zumike!
I have the model with the vertical head lights, the one in this service manual is the bug eye model.
Do you think the plastic covers have the same screw and bolt locations?
Did you use a tutorial to get your plastic covers/panels off? I'm just worried im going to take it all apart and not be able to get it back together!!

thanks

Awesome thanks! I've got the 3m military green,
I'll start with the back end this weekend and then the front next week. Thanks for the tips!
I'm a total newb, thought about paying someone to do it but where's the fun in that!

Post Re: Service manuals
Purchased a 2012 50f yesterday. Previous owner said he lost the owner's manual in a recent move. I have searched and read though this section on service manuals but failed to find a service manual or owner's manual specifically for a 2012 50f. Did I miss something? Is the service manual for the 125 the same as the 50f? Any links for these would be most appreciated.

Thanks for a great forum. I've already learned a lot.

No, no, no ... not at all.

The 125 and the 50F have nothing in common (so far as the service manual).

We haven't seen one yet (well, I haven't).

BTW ... welcome to the ZForums.

Post Re: Service manuals
Thanks Biomed. I am new to scooters and would like to find a service manual. I need to replace what is called the "inner fender" because it is cracked underneath and it appears a number of parts will have to be removed. Saw a "service manual" on ebay for about $15 that said it covered several Zuma models up to 2012. Sounded pretty generic and makes me wonder if it is a worthwhile investment.

Hope that you didn't bite on that one ... it wouldn't help you.

Nope. With 2012 being the first year of the Zuma 4 cycle engine I didn't think my machine should be included with the others on the list.

Post YAMAHA ZUMA PREBUG TO BUGEYE SWAP
Does anyone know if its possible to swap a 2008 zuma front end as in forks and brakes onto a pre 1999 zuma and if so what does it entail.

Post Re: Prebug front end swap
I started to do this a few years ago and you would need the entire set up and a machine shop will have to trim down the bigeye triple tree for it to fit but you will not be able to use the original speedo as the plastics won't fit back on correctly due to the angle. Also the steering bumps will need to be cut off
