i thought you were useing parts form a 100 cc atv not an actual bws 100 parts

there the same thing to the exact T engines same stroke same bore etc

and yes you can buy a bws100 54mm bbk and port your cases for it to fit and you will need the longer studs and a 12mm crank

Check out these scooter motors rusting in Alibaba's Taiwan lot. Scary! :gonk:

Ah, I was able to contact Wayne at jiangwayne.com from Facebook. Here's their web site.

http://jiangwayne.com/scooter/index.php

He told me that they can sell refurbished BWS 100 cc engines with a 121 cc bigger bore kit
and complete upgrades for US$ 1,299.00 + shipping.

I told him that I was more interested in a more stock 100 cc engine, and he said that they can
sell the refurbished BWS 100 engines, although the price is the same because they need to
replace used parts with a new 100 cc cylinder.

He told me that they have some "As-Is BWS 100 engines that are US$ 499.00 + shipping,
although they can't guarantee its performance.

I’d also like to add, what has been said about just going down to
Mexico and smuggling up a BWS 100cc engine.

I’ve talked with a Zuma owner who lives in Ensenada, B.C., Mexico.
He commented that the BWS 100cc scooters aren’t sold there in the
Baja region and he’s searched around for me. They get theirs
imported from North of the boarder; you know, Zumas; not BWS.

Now I’ve found a Mexico City Yamaha web site that mentions the
BWS 100cc scooter.

http://www.yamaha-motor.com.mx/yw100.html

Whether this is an older, obsolete site, I don’t know.

I've seen several bws100 when I was I'm Mexico but I rented one to drive and its slow. Not really worth it pouts the aftermarket support is very weak for it.

Post Re: 100cc bws on a zuma how to anyone?
When I've Googled BWS 100cc, I will sometimes get this hyperlink, so I would like to add some additional
information here.

I understand the logic behind getting a BWS 100cc engine on our Zuma 50s. It's a little more powerful, while
offering the dependability of a stock motor. Most of us aren't really interested in racing but just want a little
more power getting up hills or riding along expressways. It seems like this is a good option.

I also understand the EPA's desire not to have this size 2-stroke in the country. If my 50cc smokes up the
neighborhood at warm-up, imagine what a 100cc 2-smoker would do? But, how much less polluting is a 70cc
Big Block Kit? Isn't a BBK just as illegal to have on your scooter as a whole 100cc motor? I don't know.

So, Yamaha has basically stopped making their 100cc, and the only way to get one of these is to get a used
motor that's re-built and shipped to you. You would think that Yamaha would make these motors available
in this country, at least as a racing or an off-road option. It has to be better than a GY6 motor, and yet the
GY6 seems a lot easier to bring into this country. Why is that?

Another issue with the BWS 100 engines is that, stock, replacement, maintenance parts like CVT V-belts,
roller/weights, and other items for the BWS100 don't seem to be available here in the U.S. either. My local
Yamaha dealer was scratching his head when I would give him the Yamaha parts numbers for BWS100 V-belt.
That means that you will need to play around and experiment with 3rd-party items, or buy from those same
foreign suppliers. Granted, it takes me almost a week to get some stock Zuma 50cc parts. I can only imagine
how long stock parts from Taiwan will take to arrive.

That runs counter to the whole "Keeping it stock" idea. I just wanted to voice my 2¢ on this. Thanks.

Ok I'm back at t I got a aerox100 motor and rear wheel and front wheel on the way from the uk I'm putting it in my prebug zuma, scoot tuning ca sells a bracket to make this a bolt in like factory motor. parts are easy to get tons of the ruckus guy run these motors and a lot of the vendors in Canada sell parts for it. They also list a 130cc top end kit for it. I'm planning on running it stock for now to work it the bugs if it has good compression when I get it and after a bit I want to go crazy with it.

Ya I hate when write ups are limited in photos or they are crappy. Plus if someone needs to compare this to the big eye motor then they got tons of photos to compare to. Online it's rare to find any photos of this motor. I also figured out the wiring today so I'm going to do a write up for prebug and bugeye conversion. I also figured out the oil pump cable deal if someone wants to use it, the throttle cable is a single like the prebug buy Gos to a splitter.

You're right, you hardly ever see write-ups with a lot of pictures. Definitely not for that motor. Carry on with the good work and thanks for sharing! :)

What made you choose this motor? From what I understand they're turds, with very little aftermarket support.

Man that CVT was nasty! Looks like it was exposed to a good bit of water. But it looks brand new after you cleaned it up. Nice work!
