Post Any scooter riders?
I am new here and I have motorcycles, sportbikes and harleys, I am interested in owning a scooter. I am going tomorrow to look at a 2016 leftover, ultramarine blue with 0 miles still in freight. The store has it for $3300 otd. Seems high to me, but everyone else is around 3800 for 2016/2017 models. I really want blue, should I wait til 2018? will their be a liquid cooled one or any rumours floating around?

Is $3300 reasonable for a brand new 16 blue zuma 125? I have speed limits of 35/40/45 around my house in my town. I am looking for purely hop and go, grocery shopping, gym, little area's parks etc. All around my house is accesible at those speeds. I really think it would be fun to scoot around, and such.

If you think the price is fair, and if they are good machines, or should I wait? please voice your opinions. What type of matienance is required? Just oil changes and such?

Thanks! I really want answers by tomorrow too if I can, I am going to go look at it an hour away.

ps. theres also a 2015, that they said i could have for 2700 otd. is 600 dollar difference worht it? I think the 2016 looks better in pics, but have yet to see it in person. Just was told they have it and unfreighting it for me to look at tomorrow. The 2015 is red and white and not very interested in it, read that the 2016 is better. How much better? I am not sure if someone could clarify I would appreciate it

Liquid cool is a pipe dream. You can get the 218cc mod on this bike and still be good on an air / oil cooled system. They are fun as crap bikes IMO. I tool around on mine and drive my daughter around. I would honestly just get a used bike from craigslist for 1500$ or 1800$ and then do mods yourself. painting panels on the bike are easy and fun. costing you around $250 to $400 if you get a paintshop to do your plastics. I have taken my bike apart from head to toe and now wish I would have just purchased a used bike and stripped it down. If you are close to a salvage yard too!!! look online for salvaged zuma 125's you can get them for $500 sometimes! don't dump the cash into a new one unless you have no handy hands. Thats my two cents. There are a ton of fun things you can do to the bike, good luck on your surfing!

save you $1500 so you can have fun tinkering on the bike.

There wasnt any used ones near me, went bought a brand new one for 3.3k Very happy with it, the savings of a grand for old bike and 5-10k miles used just isn't worth it to me.

What fuel type does it take? 87 or 91? I read the manual it isnt very specific to me. Do you guys make a habit of filling the fuel up on side stand or the understand? dont want to overfill/and spill out

shes happy at home. the pink bike i got for gf to learn/wreck it around parking lot learning on.

I have heard that the new zuma's have a " defect" in the fuel filler. But I get gas on my bike its a 2009... I ususally just look in the tank neck as I fill it up and when I see gas coming up... or hear it getting close I cut her off. If its the same size as the 2009's its like 1.6 gallons or close... so whatever... give it a fill a time or two and you will know what you like... as far as gas goes... unleaded is good. any type will work.
