Post 2007 yamaha c3, been sitting a while, 1,000 miles NO START
So, I got this c3 for what I thought was a steal. $400, 1,000 miles, hadn't been run in a long time but the condition was very good.

Then I put a new battery on it, lights came on but the fuel pump didn't prime and the starter wouldn't turn over.

I have a 2013 zuma 50f which is also fuel injected and appears to basically be the same bike. So I started switching around parts.

So, I unplugged the computer from the zuma and tried it on the c3, nothing different. Then I put the C3 computer on the zuma and it ran fine. I've had the same luck with all the relays on both bikes, nothing causes the zuma to stop running and the c3 never works.

So then I unplugged the starter button/kill switch and I was going to try to "jump" the starter that way, for some reason I plugged it all back up and the fuel pump primed (or tried to) and then the starter turned over.

I'm thinking maybe my computer was partially unplugged or maybe it was in a limp mode.

No fuel, but runs on starter fluid! So, just ordered a pump from ebay so next weekend we'll be riding, $450 all in, scooter, battery and fuel pump, not bad!
