Everything is coming along. I will be putting the motor all back together and mounting it up this weekend.
The body panels are all done and painted looking absolutely perfect again.

Bolted on the head yesterday. I got a lot of other things done as well. Some were interested on how pnp 50 cc was going to turn out. raised less than 1mm. intake open some. tedious job. mirrors and dookie. here are some photos:

These are actually two different stock 50cc motors in the photos. but good for illustration.

Post Re: 2000 ZUMA, the mild build - FROM: Daex TO: Her
Thanks BnB, I'm going to keep this pretty much stock . I have a reed block like that NIB for another build upcoming, which is a story for another time. But I'll keep it in mind.

I got the kick stand mount all fab'd and welded in place today. I think this is something a lot of people would like to have pre-fab'd where they can simply have it welded in place and bolt on their kick stand , which is something else for another time.

The fairings are all complete, and they look professionally done hot rod red,,, well I did them, how otherwise could they be. lol. I can't help it, they really look that good.

More photos to come of all that...

Spending another evening in the garage...

I got all the wiring back in today. Wired up the new headlamps. Primed up the oil pump.

I'll get back at it in the morning...

I few buddies of mine were over last night. They said more than once they liked that red.

I maxed out on my two high beams draw at 85 watts (upper two larger diameter lens ) . One is 50 watts (right), the other is 35 watts (left). The two Low beams are at 40 watts (lower two small diameter lens). Both are 20 watts each.

I decided I'm going to put flush mount front turn signals on it , and the all euro like taillight assembly. But for now back to work...

The carb is on the money that I had estimated from the beginning; moving the needle up one higher notch from center position and moving up from a 93 mj to a 95. The Leo Vince ZX pipe is on. Stock air box as is.

At some point I'm going to temporarily put on a rpm counter. It definately has more rpm to it, but nothing ridiculous.

Another Grade "A" Side kick stand mount fabricated. Side kick stand mounts up perfectly like factory bws does. Take notice that I kept the center stand.

Post Re: 2000 ZUMA, the mild build - FROM: Daex TO: Her
Add the following on to my list of parts:

x. 6.5 grams variator weights
x. Malossi Torque spring - super reinforced - Yellow
x. Malossi Torsion Controller
x. Daytona Short rear shock - Gold
x. Yamaha decal with logo [3] - Carbon fiber look - Black

Tuned the CVT today. CVT on the money now. Pegging out the speedometer. At some point I need to throw the tachometer on to see where I'm at with it.

Also, I put in the rear tail lamp section in. It was not the exact one I had ordered. It was to be the OEM bws style, not the Lexus. But still looks fine.

Furthermore, I Installed the Daytona Gold shock that I purchased from Shoxg here. They were the ones he was using as his Zuma 125 rear lowering springs. Thanks again Shoxg !!!
A perfect fit, and look excellent on the scooter. I will be putting the other shock on my other 2000 zuma as well.

Some photos to follow later tonight ...

The rear fender is going to get slice parallel to the ground just above the rear reflector.
I have a lot of little things on the punch list now complete.

The rear shock: The stock shock is 9 1/2 inch. This daytona is at 11 1/2 with some preload on it. So I can omit the riser now.

There are other parts I've omitted from my list that should be included:

x. STR8 LED Micro Indicator lights. flat oval. glass orange. LED orange
x. Taillight TNT style Lexus for Yamaha BW'S R
x. BUZZETTI main stand - mbk booster, yamaha bws

Quickly putting the numbers together I'm at $1550 on this build. Mentally I value it at $1850.

It was down to the frame. It has been gone over completely in detail down to every dam screw. Its a new scooter now. At $1850 that's like actually saving $550+ over a new one, and its 100% better on top of that... ( Daex gasps ) Okay I feel better about it now. It will all be worthwhile and then some in the end.

In all actuality to put this over the top where any of you guys would be thrilled over this scooter and hit 60 mph, it just needs a bbk, up geared, and 9 total grams less on the variator (+$300). But then I can't forget, this build is for the girl.

Her Red Zuma is pretty much done ...

Need to chop the rear fender right above the reflector, get a plate on it, and put the flush mount front turn indicators on as soon as they get here.

Here's a video of the his and her twin 2000's
