Post Re: RUCKHERO 77cc 2t BLACKxTEAL *Cases have arrived*!
Here we go.

New engine cases are here! One for me and my 77cc rebuild. Will be machining the cylinder base to fit the new Malossi Big Bore. On the other case, I'll be transferring a lot of the zuma internals from another 70cc ruckus build for my brother which I'm going to also start documenting here on zumaforums.

Guess what engine these are from, get a prize. Should be easy! :toot:

You win! I'm transferring a lot of the zuma internals over to these cases. They fit perfectly! :eng101:

Nice! Love your scoot man. I've been thinking about building a ruck. If I find a cheap one I could really see myself starting a build. Is there any years a guy should avoid, or are they all the same?

Get the absolute cheapest one you can find. They are ALL exactly the same...

Thanks! :toot:

is the rear bearing on the axel and the seal the same as the zuma?
are you changing to aerox wheels?

The bearings are the same, shafts and gears are a little different.

I'm keeping my fatty and fabbing a new hub to hold a disk rotor and my 12x7 wheel.

I'll be posting similarities and differences of the zuma and aerox cases IN DETAIL for everyone to see.

What's the advantage of one case over the other, and what internals? Crank, gears, electrical stuff?

Aerox cases are set up for rear disk brakes, L/C, and have a massive aftermarket support. Pretty much the king of 2t scoot motors.

Nick I'm going to be running a 77cc Malossi Big Bore, transferring as much of the zuma stuff as I can, running the same zuma harness that is on my ruck right now, RHQ 12mm crank, 28mm VHST Dellorto, Red Fury Overrange, final gear ratio change (probably Malossi-Primary gears 13/44, and Malossi - secondary gear 14/43)

Why?! You know us ruckus guys man... Always trying to put disc brakes on everything... LOL! The case will ported/epoxied/smoothed and machined prior to installing everything.

The only thing that helps me LC wise is the shorter right side of the case. I won't have to extend the studs for my mechanical water pump. I'm going to see how long the mech water pump lasts, and cut my teeth on it, before (if ever) I switch to electrical water pump.

Getting the case machined to fit the 77cc cylinder and flowing the case while we're in there. Will have pics of the process soon! Getting the custom hub made from the oem aerox hub spindle next week.

Will have pics of everything. Just taking longer than expected like usual.. :(
