Wondering if anyone's changed the handlebars on their Zuma and if there are any write-ups on doing so? I'm going to have to replace mine, but after hitting an initial snag (can't seem to loosen them out) I'm not certain I want to bother trying to guess my way through the job. Worst case scenario, I can take it to the local shop and have them do it for me. But why pay shop costs for something that seems like it should be fairly straight forward?

It's pretty straight forward: loosen the 4 allen screws underneath the plastic cover on the neck, slip off the grips (easy on the throttle side, difficult on the left side, unless switching to new grips) loosen the hand controls, and swap everything over.

Yeah, I eventually figured out out. I was stumped for a bit because after loosening the clamp on the frame the stem was stuck and I couldn't figure out why. Thought that maybe there was singe complication i wasn't seeing. Actually, never did figure out why. Just tried again a few days later and they slid right out. I dunno, maybe it was a hot day and maybe the metal expanded a bit and got stuck.

But that feeling of accomplishment is priceless.
