Post Yahama Vino Won't start. Gummed carb cleaning help
I haven't used my scooter in maybe 2 years. It's turning over fine. New battery, new spark plug and i have spark. Everything I read says gummed carb is common on these. I searched but couldn't find the steps in cleaning. A few times it started but then shut off. What is the process for cleaning the carb? does it need removed? Should I just pour something in the gas tank first?

Yes the proper way to do it is to pull the carb off to clean it
But you can maybe cheat by making sure you drain all the old gas
Refill the tank with fresh gas with 2 ounces of seafoam per gallon
Make sure you drain all the old gas out of the carb
Then using starting fluid stRt the scooter and play with the throttle and keep it running for a bit by giving it shots of starting fluid

that's what I figured. Do I have to take the carb all the way out? I have the throttle cable still on for example. Also how do you clean it? I can't seem to find anything on the vino

can I do this on the bike without taking the entire thing out? Also this doesn't look like a vino carb
