Welcome to the ZForums ...

You really need to hang around with us for awhile ... I'm glad that you found us.

This is WHY we're here ::

I might agree with you about the windscreen (most do NOT). Tires, yes.
Pulling the mirrors so that you can go faster !! Ha !! Ha !!

If you do find mirrors that mount BEHIND the windscreen ... please post the picture ... I like to see them.

HIGH OCTANE FUEL ... definitely NO !! !! That will not make you go faster.

I'd think one if the best ways to increase speed

add a windscreen
change up your tires to lower rolling resistance
pull the mirrors off
replace mirrors that sit behind the windscreen
Always put high octane gas in
Mufflers are always the last thing you should do.

Mirrors create resistance. They also buffer the wind and cause your front end to wiggle. Wiggling the front tire whole going in a straight line will slow you down. Simple physics (how much will it slow you down ? Fractions)

Windscreen will help create a sonic vortex around your body. Simple aerodynamics. Depends mainly on size, shape and design along with how you position your body in the bubble. Simple aerodynamics. . Fractions. But also keeps bugs out of your face.

Slicker tires with lower rolling resistance keeps momentum moving forward and keeps you planted to the ground do in a more stable way. Fractions but probably noticeable.

From there your looking at engine mods and weight reduction.

This is all mpg/speed trial/racing 101

Do us all a favor !! STAY IN SCHOOL !!

Life isn't that hard. Being foolish is easier than actually learning something. TRY ... TRY HARDER !!

When you're ready to quit being foolish ... let us know.

O'Boy ... I can't wait to be SCHOOLED about weight reduction !! !!

Maybe it'll start by removing the windshield ??

brings back memories of lambo
remember his whole thing was to make the bike as aerodynamic as he could

now look what it has turned into

mirrors cause front end wiggle???

what are you using? semi mirrors? if the front of your scoot wobbles due to mirrors, you've got something majorly wrong.

i can let go of the bars at 60 with no issue at all other than rapid decrease in speed.

I got 2 words for you :: SONIC VORTEX

Not enough book learnin' !!

I do NOT believe that this can be created @ 55 mph.

> 767.269148 mph ... maybe.

ON A SCOOTER ... Hell No.

I remember that well. I was following it. I wish that he hadn't given up on that ... IT WAS A COOL PROJECT.

He did make a windshield with an adjustable rake. I wonder why that's not still on the scoot.

Post Re: Vino 125 better top speed?
Hi I'm new here but have been riding 2 wheels most of my life. Just found scooters and having a great time with my wifes Vino 125 purchase(she bought it for me I'm pretty sure). It will go right at 60mph maxed out on the level with 200lb me on it. I verified speed with GPS. That's plenty fast on 10" wheels. I have an adventure bike if I need to go faster and farther or a 2500HD 4X4 if I really need to travel big time. This scooter is superb for traveling around town or the back roads. It's fun to play with mods on a bike but really 60mph +- and great mpg is what this scooter is all about. Just my $.02........Ride safe folks
