Post V-Belt Replacement Interval on Zuma 125 ???
Hey everyone,

Quick question here. How often should I be replacing my Zuma 125 V-Belt?

I checked two zuma 125 service manuals I found online and there must be a typo.

One says replace "Every 18000 km (12000 ml)" the other manual says to replace "Every 1200 mi (18000 km)"

Seeing how 18000 km is more like 12000 miles I was thinking it should be 12k. But then this website.... https://www.drowsports.com/yamaha-zuma- ... ator-belt/

says it should be every 1200 miles.

So whats the correct number? I'm currently at 2k miles on my stock 2014 zuma 125.

Thanks!

The Correct number is 12,000 miles. Earlier if you begin to see your top speed begin to taper off or if during your inspections you notice damage to the belt.

Thank you very much! Its a shame there is a lot of misinformation out there saying 1200 miles. I bought a belt already but looks like I'll hold onto it for another 10k miles lol.

I did notice my top speed drop 1-2 mph since I got the scooter. Guess I'll measure the belt and see if it is in spec.

1-2 MPH isn't drastic and could be factored by something as basic as oil level or tire pressure or even fuel quality.

Once you start losing 10 mph, check your CVT rollers.
