Post Trailer for the scoot.
Ive seen some trailers on bikes lately so i want one on the scoot. There has been a thread on here refering to trailers. Im planning a one trailing wheel design that i can do wheelies while pulling. I am also going to put suspension on the trailer. I bought the wheel from a forum member, so it will match the bike and have a matching tire. Im using a crf50 swingarm and shock. Not sure what ill use for a fender yet but something will come up.

I have broke up the hitch piece out of very light aluminum, this is only for mock up. I will copy it out of heavier steel. Im using a U Joint for a hitch. That will keep the trailer from falling over sideways but i can still have 90 degrees up and down and during turns. Alot of bugs to work out but i stuck this together for the pictures to see if anyone had any ideas. This is my start...

great to see new trailer designs for the 125 and looking forward to the completed design.

but wheelies while pulling a trailer would be really stupid. leave the trailer at home when doing stunts.

Looks like you're about due for a new rear tire too! :wth:

I saw this trailer awhile back. It's not Zuma style, but might be good for some ideas. :patriot:

Alright. Im building this..this weekend. The first one is in the scrap. I didnt like it. I did away with the suspension on this second one too. The swingarm off the back looked redneck as hell. I wanted a clean, factory look. So here are my new parts and new design.

And i bent up a new 1/4" steel piece for the hitch.

Last is my ghetto drawing, kinda gives the idea though.

Im still using the U Joint for the hitch. Still looking for a fender of some kind too. Should have it built and painted on the bike by Sunday.

Looks good. I like the design. Glad to see the wheel made it ok. The rear fender from the 125 would wrap the tire well. Its light and not that expensive.

As in down the river? Nothing that fun ever comes up unexpectedly in my life. The trailer is looking good. Don't start felling like it needs to be done; take your time and do it right.

Post Re: Trailer for the scoot.
Well tonight i drilled the holes in the bracket that bolts on the scoot for the hitch. Its kinda over kill being 1/4". Stronger than the bolts holding it on probably but...i like things tough cause i play hard. Its really falling together and looks nice. I welded the tongue in as well. I need to paint it and i can try to pull it. If it pulls good ill change the tire to a matching bobber. Im still looking for the perfect fender too. I want something cheap and avaliable for a fender in case i need to build another one of these for someone else. I can pick up dirtbike tires, hit wal mart, or take my crf50 out to the track with this trailer. There are some cheap looking trailers for scooters around for 600 bucks. I could make this again cheaper than that no problem.

My scooter is way down on power right now for some reason too. So before i get to ride anymore i need to check it out. i have blown a head gasket, valves got tight or something. Im going to do a leak down test after i have adjusted the valves. I have my fingers crossed that a valve just got tight. i smelled oil riding it home the other day...so fingers crossed.

O and i did make this so i can wheelie while pulling it. I stood the scoot up 12 oclocked with the hitch on the ground. I never wheelie that high so it leaves me plenty of room. The next YouTube Video i post will be pulling this in a wheelie..

now you're talking. what would be your price and what are the dimensions? i'd like one just big enough to put a storage container on. something like this for camping or long trips.
