Post Need advice on cargo storage
Anyone ride with a large backpack like this to store gear? http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/p ... k&i=436298

If it rested on the seat I wouldn't think it would be a strain to travel with. Might be awkward though? Regardless, what's the best way to get yourself and a tent, sleeping bag, and minimal supplies to a campsite?

Cargo carrier and saddlebags instead of above mentioned backpack? Combination?

OK so after looking around I'm thinking one of these with some bunjees and saddlebags? Anyone try this rack out ( :haw: ) yet? http://www.ebay.com/itm/CUSTOM-ZUMA-REA ... aa&vxp=mtr

Looks bigger and it's cheaper than the one on Amazon.

I put all my gear in my hiking back pack just like I was going on a wilderness camping trip put it on my back and hop on and go
I don't strap it to the scoot or anything I wear it

Good to know. That was my first thought. Wasn't sure if the weight of the bag would become uncomfortable?

No more uncomfortable than hiking with it on. Just remember to pack high if you strap some think like a tent or sleeping bag low it doesn't work real well

Could you elaborate a bit on "pack high"? Try to have the tent higher up in the pack? How would you get it to rest there? Sorry, confused

Always heavy stuff at the bottom light stuff at the top, otherwise things get pretty unstable.

Pretty cool but a lot of work! I wonder if you'd feel tethered to something?

I think accelerating you feel it
Once rolling flat probably wouldn't know

At least it's very low weight where a huge backpack is all up high weight could make leaning into corners weird

I've seen people use bicycle trailers but those wheels are so tiny probably won't hold up to fast speeds
A real scooter wheel is the perfect thing to use
