That's how you know that it was BEE the stung you ... it was only ONCE !!
Any other stinging bug will get you over.n.over.n.over again.

Yeah I like my full face no matter what the weather just for that reason. Yesterday I had something big splat right between the eyes so to speak. With the visor all I had to do was look at it, not feel it, taste it, etc. :)
Got home once last year and a wasp was on the shoulder of my jacket stinging the hell out of it. Glad it has armor in it.
On a night ride I almost took an owl to the face.

Yeah, full face for me 100% of the time please. :)

Hell I've been on the freeway in the cage with the window down and had a big bumblebee get sucked in and hit me in the cheek just under my sunglasses. Hurt like hell even though it didn't sting. Got off the freeway and pulled over to flip it's freaking out butt off the floor.

Full face for the win! The first bike I ever owned was a Yamaha r6. Was Riding home from the dealer, in the rain and a bird hit me 2 blocks from my house right in the visor.. Ouch if I didn't have my full face helmet!

Well, you guys have conviced me to go full face. Well, a combination of you guys, and the bugs that keep hitting me in the chin when I go riding at night and the evening, since my face mask on the half only goes down to my mouth...lol.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate the help, the advice, and the stories about being hit by the wildlife.

This thread is scaring me. Im a glasses wearer also, and I am worried about winter riding. I am debating about getting a Moto X helmet to wear riding (MO has no helmet law here, but I am going to wear one) and I thought it would be best to combat fog. Any help on this area? Might make a new thread if I cant find anything else to answer the question.

I don't know why you're so worried about fogging.
I live in a very humid climate ( Louisiana ) ... fogging is nothing that is a problem, that I'm aware of.

Maybe fogging occurs more because your NOT using your vents as much as you should.

For instance ...
Are you aware of how the defroster/defogger in your car works ?? ::
WINDSHIELD ... my car actually turns on the AC to clear the fog ...
And a lot of air flow.
if you want to help remove the frost from the OUTSIDE of the windshield ... THEN you use the HEATER.

The back window just has those defroster grids on it ... clearing the window on the outside.
So, I'm not actually seeing antifogging or defogging on the rear WITH HEAT.

SO ::

Fogging is prevented and removed WITH AIRFLOW & LOW TEMPERATURE = VENTILATION.

Mainly because I am like this dude all year round:

I come here for the expertise of people like you. Because I would rather be informed than to make expensive mistakes in the future. I by no means know everything. But what I do know about and am confident in sharing I share. As for everything else, I would rather ask questions than to assume anything. Mistakes on one of these scooters can be awful. And I'd rather be safe than sorry.

You can't test a helmet for fogging IN THE STORE.

Even a helmet WITHOUT a breath.guard will stay clear ... with the proper air.flow through the helmet.

UNLESS ...

UNLESS ... you're at a stop.light ... on a cold day ... and your a mouth.breather !!
I don't think that even the best helmet will remain clear under all conditions ?? ??

Oh ... I wasn't kidding.
I myself always go the LARGEST LENSES I can find.
And I really have worn glasses over my glasses.

FREE ... DISPOSABLE ... glasses over my glasses were thought to be CHEAPER to replace than the glasses that I actually needed to see with.

Not anymore ... that's been years ago ... but yes ...
I used to wear FREE ... DISPOSABLE ... glasses over my expensive glasses.
These are pretty damn close ... if not exactly what I would wear.

I gotta be honest with you !!

You will get those people checking you out like you are a total nut job ( TWEEB ) !!
It is VERY APPARENT that you are wearing glasses over your glasses !!

You gotta get the dark lenses so that you look like CHPS !! !!
