Post What is your favorite tinting on visors?
Hey guys, I just got a Shoei Multitec which comes with a clear visor. I'd like some better sun protection when I'm riding home from work, but I'm not sure what the best tinting would be. Is there a silver bullet that doesn't let in as much light in the daytime, but lets me still see when I'm riding to work at 5 in the morning?

50/50 Smoke and clear are really hard to find, but nice cause it allows closed visor and night.

I cut a 1 1/2 wide strip of vinyl window tint and put that along the top of my faceshield.

I prefer a clear shield and a couple of pairs of sunglasses, dark grey and amber.

I actually found that Shoei makes a visor that is a 50/50 tint, but it costs $45. :wth: I was also looking for a fog resistant visor, but don't seem to find any Shoei's except Shoei's own "Pinlock" design that lets you mount a second inner visor to the inside of the outer visor. It sounds kind of jerry-rigged to me, but the reviews on it are really good.

No tint + sunglasses if the sun is shining.

+1 on no tint and a pair of sunglasses. I always ride with my shield up, unless it's raining or really cold.

Yeah, I guess sunglasses would be easiest, but I already have to wear regular glasses so I don't crash.

I used to prefer no visor, or flipped up till i got a big butt bee at 30mph in the nose. Left a big red mark.

yeah that happened to me going 60km/h cept it wasn't the nose, it was my nipple. and i was only wearing a t shirt. >.>

I'm heading off to buy my full face today actually, going to try and find a 50/50. I ride during the day most of the time so a tint is fine with me.

I bought one of these and it has the push button flip down shade too. Pretty cool. But I almost never wear it. It doesnt match my flip flops! http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/pi ... web1001071
