Post How much is it worth?? 2008 Zuma 50
I have a 2008 Zuma 50cc. It was ridden (not by me) without oil in it and has seized. It had a 70cc kit and an aftermarket tail pipe on it and some other mods to go along with that. At one point it was running really well.... my stupid family members rode it at the beach with out adding oil and it is royally fucked. They were going full throttle for about 10minutes and it completely seized and stopped. The kick starter will not budge. I assume the crack shaft and bearings need to be replaced and maybe the piston / cylinder/ head... I just had a kid and don't have time/will to re build it and a co-worker wants to buy it for a pit bike.

What is a fair price to all parties? He knows about the issues and that it needs to be rebuilt, he wants me to tell him what I want for it.

Here is my best estimation:

08' in good condition is worth `$1,500 - $300 parts - $200 in labor = $1000

I assume he will have to replace the Crankshaft/bearings/piston Assembly/ Cylinder and head ~$300 (oem parts)
and i'm assuming it will take 4 hours of labor @$40/hr.

Personally I wouldn't pay more than $500-700 for it. $40/hr isn't even close to what a shop charges (around here its ave $110/hr). Also who knows what else got fubar'd. Last time I helped a friend who bought a motorcycle with a seized up engine (PO never checked oil, taped over oil light with electrical tape and it ran dry) found cracks in the case near the cylinder block base. Ended up getting a good used motor, fixed a bunch of screwed up other things (how this bike was even ridable before it seized I dunno) and by time we were done it looked 100 times better, ran better and was safe to ride. Now granted for maybe a grand more than what he spent on fixing this bike, he could had bought a nice used one and been riding 2 month earlier.

Now if he'll give you a grand for it, go for it. Congrats on the kid.

Non Running if you get more than 500 you are winning ,That is what they go for on Craigslist within 200 miles of Wisconsin ,They individually part out for more .
For a 2008
It has too run at least rough to go for 1000 up here .
Good condition 1200-1400
