Post Newbie Just bought 1st Zuma and have question
Hi folks! Just bought an 04 Zuma 50 that had been flooded. Im going to try and get her running again and I have been able to save quite a bit of her. How ever the carb and both clutches are too corroded to make work again.
Ebay has Chinese carbs for as low as $20. Anyone have luck with these? Are they tune able?
As far as the clutches, should I look for a good used one? Im not trying to soup her up or anything so I dont need any expensive performance parts.

Thanks for the help!

Buy a good carb otherwise you might have to pay twice.
Original carb or Dellorto is what most use on here .
if you are going to mod it get the dellorto either 17.5 mm or 19 mm
Where are you located there may be members here that would sell you there old oem carb.

Here is a new forum member that is upgrading his carb right now
Make him a offer
member sixdown

And another recent quote within the last week of another member
boxybrown

[quote"boxybrown"]I have a lot of extra parts, I’ll send you a message.[/quote]

Search them out and PM them

AS far as clutch the 2002 -2005 whole rear assembly is 105 mm 2 shoe clutch with a poor designed torque driver.
https://www.scootertuning.ca/en/variato ... 107mm.html
this is a upgrade and the price is better than oem and will hold upto further mods
They also have variators any sport variator is a good upgrade .

Wow Zino, thanks for that info. That secondary clutch looks to be just what I need. If I go with that do I need to get a new matching VARIATOR also or could I use a oem one? They seem to be out of stock on the standard ones.

Thanks again!

No you can keep a stock variator or aftermarket you can mix and match brands .
For example I have polini ,athena ,malossi parts mixed with oem.
The sport variators are a simple swap with no case modding for oem .
Just dont expect big speed or acceleration with the variator swaps they might add a mile or 2 or nothing at all they really just smooth out shifting and acceleration.
That vendor is very good and dont despair they constantly replace stock The weather is causing a run on there stock.
