Fathers day wish list
Scooter Exhaust results
http://www.pedparts.co.uk/blog/sports-e ... s-part-one

The wild lion and technigas silent pro are in the same class
They just move the power band a little bit but still keep it low enough you get in the band quick next to no cvt tuning .

But as you can see from the various results expansion pipes pipes add alot on stock they just move the power band up and steal from the bottom .

Rode around today and it seems to hit 35 regularly and 37 depending on wind and a little downhill. The wild lion will be next, but prob not until end of summer. Maybe a good Father’s Day gift? Lol

Have you been able to tune it get any faster than 35? I have a prebug I am tuning and get 37mph with a 6mm space from the edge of the variator. I am hoping to install some different rollers but before I do that can I ask if you removed the variator washer which sits behind the fan cover? The previous owner of my prebug removed it and I hear it is bad since it misaligns your belt which could affect the top speed.

I am up to about 37 with 6.5g rollers. Better than before. I did not remove the spacer. I too read it was bad. I am now looking for a mild pipe to try and get me to 40.

Nice. How far does your belt travel up the variator with the 6.5grams?

I am planning on just getting a final drive gear which will hopefully get me ~55kmh to 70kmh. reason being there are very few pipes for vertical minarelli engines nowadays.

I am considering this one as it gives the lowest final drive which is best for top end speed. Tell me what you think as if you are getting full variator travel then this will be a cheap upgrade for you. I am pretty sure the prebugs and 08+ models have the same final gear ratios so we will both get a big increase to about 70kmh.

I will have to look into that final drive. I currently have only 3.5mm left on the variator with 6.5g rollers. I am going to try a pipe first, see how that goes.

Do you have a 70cc bbk? I don't think a pipe may be helpful with a 50cc engine

Pipes work on 50 cc they just work better on 70 cc

Here is a great thread on modding prebugs and bugeyes it is a good collection from bbk exhaust carbs and transmission
nifty50 put it together.

Nifty has good info on gears in his various threads There is a chart that he made that guides you to right gear ratio
